Volunteer Testimonies

Philanthropists need to be flexible, aware of areas where support is needed, and act in loving ways to promote the welfare of others. This love and desire to help others, when expressed by donations of money, time, and effort, to see good things happen, is the true definition of philanthropy.

As a business consultant, the Founder and Principal Owner of LDI Business Consultant, it is my mission and commitment to help goodness grow. I have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering my time as a business consultant with Melissa Aguilera, Founder and Executive Director of Magnolia Women’s Center, a Pregnancy Resource Center, located in northeast Philadelphia. We have been working together, preparing for the center’s grand opening. We are eager to welcome and minister to women who are uncertain about their future and their child’s future.

Magnolia Women’s Center was established in 2022 and has a 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. The center is committed to offering truth, hope, and support to guide women toward life-affirming choices.

Research shows that 82% of women who see their child via ultrasound, will choose to continue with the pregnancy. Magnolia Women’s Center will educate mothers and allow them to see the miracle of life through ultrasound. These services will be free of charge. English and Spanish speaking women will be ministered to through conversations and written materials.

Melissa is an example of a life devoted to Jesus Christ. She is a miracle herself, having learned the truth of abortion personally. Abortion was not factually or truthfully defined for Melissa. She was deceived by those working at the abortion facility and endured a great deal of suffering since her abortion experiences. Melissa has devoted herself to the mission of educating women, providing them with the truth about abortion and life inside a woman’s womb. It sounds so simple, but sadly for many this basic understanding and acceptance is lacking. Melissa’s sincerity, warmth, laughter, strength, and her commitment to her family are remarkable. She inspires me to do more to help save the unborn.

I would like to invite you to focus your philanthropic efforts with Melissa Aguilera, the Magnolia Center’s Board of Directors and all the volunteers. The center is anticipated to open in January, 2024. The need for donations and volunteers is necessary and will increase when the doors open.

By donating financially and through volunteer work, regardless of the amount of money or time you invest, you are a philanthropist, lovingly promoting the welfare of others. Thank you for considering Magnolia Women’s Center for your philanthropic work.

God is so Great!
